Vincent D. Reese has received the F. Wm. McCalpin Award from Legal Services of Eastern Missouri for his commitment to pro bono work.
The award is named in honor of F. Wm. "Bill" McCalpin, the former chairman of Legal Services Corporation's Board of Directors and, coincidently, a former partner of Lewis, Rice & Fingersh. McCalpin was widely recognized as one of the founders of the Legal Services Corporation and a leading champion of legal aid on a national level. The F. Wm. McCalpin Award honors select attorneys who have demonstrated exemplary dedication to pro bono work.
Vince’s involvement with Legal Services dates back over a decade when he worked for Legal Services as a law student. After finishing law school, Vince remained actively involved with Legal Services though his work with the Volunteer Lawyer Program and has devoted hundreds of hours to the representation of pro bono clients.
Vince previously received a Volunteer of the Year Award and an Award for Outstanding Commitment to Legal Services. In addition to his pro bono work for Legal Services, Vince currently serves as President of the Midtown Catholic Charities Advisory Board and is a member of the Board of St. Louis for Kids.
