Successful ERISA Class Action Verdict
September 01, 2009

Lewis, Rice & Fingersh attorneys successfully defended an ERISA class action challenge to the Solutia Inc. Employees' Pension Plan in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Illinois.

On June 11, 2009, U.S. District Judge J. Phil Gilbert granted summary judgment in favor of the Solutia Plan (and the other similarly situated defendants), and ruled that the plaintiff class' allegations of age discrimination were without merit.  (Other successors to the former Monsanto Company pension plan were also defendants in the lawsuit.)  Neal F. Perryman and Robert J. Golterman represented the Solutia Plan.
